I’m new!

Thinking about coming to worship God at Bethel Lutheran?

Here are some things you may want to know.

What time is worship?

-Worship is a 9:00am in the Sanctuary and usually lasts 55-65 minutes.

What is Bethel’s style of worship?

-Bethel does “traditional” worship every week; except on the 3rd Sunday of the Month and during our outdoor services in the summer, which are more contemporary.  All songs and words will be provided either in the bulletin or a hymnal.

How often do you celebrate communion?

-At Bethel we celebrate the Holy Communion every Sunday.

Who is able to take communion?

-Everyone who wants to experience this gift of God’s love and grace are invited to receive communion. Grape juice and gluten free wafers are made available for those who need them.

What should I wear?

-Some people wear their “Sunday best,” others come in shorts and a t-shirt, basically wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Can I bring children?

-Yes! All ages are welcome to participate in worship.  There is a Children’s Message offered every week and activity bags are provided for children in the back.  A nursery area is found just outside the sanctuary with a window and speaker. This allows parents with young children to still be involved in the service while playing with/calming a child.

What else goes on any given Sunday?

-After worship people stick around in the Fellowship area for coffee and a treat. Most Sundays the pastor will lead an Adult Forum on a wide range of topics. Throughout the school year Sunday School for children will be provided following worship.

I’m still not sure… is there a way I could preview what a service would be like?

-Yes, Bethel’s website provides our weekly bulletin as well as audio recordings of our worship services.
